DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 162/2019

amending Annex VI (Social Security) to the EEA Agreement [2022/2154]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)	Decision No E5 of 16 March 2017 concerning the practical arrangements for the transitional period for the data exchange via electronic means referred to in Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 987/2009 (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)	Decision No E5 replaces Decision No E1 (2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

(3)	Annex VI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex VI to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following point is inserted after point 3.E4 (Decision No E4):

‘3E5.

32017 D 0719(01): Decision No E5 of 16 March 2017 concerning the practical arrangements for the transitional period for the data exchange via electronic means referred to in Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 987/2009 (OJ C 233, 19.7.2017, p. 3).’

2.	The text of point 3.E1 (Decision No E1 of 12 June 2009) is deleted.

Article 2

The text of Decision No E5 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 June 2019, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
