DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 77/2022

of 18 March 2022

amending Annex X (Services in general) and XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1145]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Regulation (EU) 2020/1055 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2020 amending Regulations (EC) No 1071/2009, (EC) No 1072/2009 and (EU) No 1024/2012 with a view to adapting them to developments in the road transport sector (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

Annexes X and XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indent is added in point 3 (Regulation (EU) No 1024/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex X to the EEA Agreement:

‘-

32020 R 1055: Regulation (EU) 2020/1055 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2020 (OJ L 249, 31.7.2020, p. 17).’

Article 2

The following indent is added in points 19a (Regulation (EC) No 1071/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council) and 25a (Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement:

‘-

32020 R 1055: Regulation (EU) 2020/1055 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2020 (OJ L 249, 31.7.2020, p. 17).’

Article 3

The text of Regulation 2020/1055 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 19 March 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*).

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
