DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2018/442]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)	Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/672 of 29 April 2016 approving peracetic acid as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products for product-types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/678 of 29 April 2016 pursuant to Article 3(3) of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a product consisting of dried lavender blossoms contained in a pad placed on the market to repel moths (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3)	Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following points are inserted after point 17 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/9) of Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

‘18.	32016 R 0672: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/672 of 29 April 2016 approving peracetic acid as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products for product-types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (OJ L 116, 30.4.2016, p. 3).

32016 D 0678: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/678 of 29 April 2016 pursuant to Article 3(3) of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a product consisting of dried lavender blossoms contained in a pad placed on the market to repel moths (OJ L 116, 30.4.2016, p. 37).’

Article 2

The texts of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/672 and Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/678 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 24 September 2016, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
