DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2015/1248]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)	Commission Decision 2000/180/EC (1), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement, has become obsolete and consequently the reference thereto should be deleted from the EEA Agreement.

(2)	For practical reasons, the acts listed under the heading ‘ACTS OF WHICH THE CONTRACTING PARTIES SHALL TAKE NOTE’ in Chapter XV of Annex II shall be renumbered.

(3)	Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

(1)	the text of point 12j (Commission Decision 2000/180/EC) is deleted;

(2)	under the heading ‘ACTS OF WHICH THE CONTRACTING PARTIES SHALL TAKE NOTE’ points 13 (deleted) to 26 (Commission Recommendation of 11 April 2006) are renumbered points 1 to 14.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on 26 September 2014, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
