DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)	Annex XX to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 122/2011 of 21 October 2011 (1).

(2)	Commission Decision 2007/742/EC of 9 November 2007 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to electrically driven, gas driven or gas absorption heat pumps (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3)

Commission Decision 2009/888/EC of 30 November 2009 amending Decisions 2002/741/EC, 2002/747/EC, 2003/200/EC, 2005/341/EC, 2005/342/EC, 2005/343/EC, 2005/344/EC, 2005/360/EC, 2006/799/EC, 2007/64/EC, 2007/506/EC and 2007/742/EC in order to prolong the validity of the ecological criteria for the award of the Community Ecolabel to certain products (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex XX to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

(1)

the following shall be added in points 2d (Commission Decision 2006/799/EC), 2da (Commission Decision 2007/64/EC) and 2y (Commission Decision 2007/506/EC):

‘, as amended by:

—	32009 D 0888: Commission Decision 2009/888/EC of 30 November 2009 (OJ L 318, 4.12.2009, p. 43).’;

(2)

the following indent shall be added in points 2e (Commission Decision 2003/200/EC), 2o (Commission Decision 2002/747/EC), 2q (Commission Decision 2005/341/EC), 2r (Commission Decision 2005/342/EC), 2s (Commission Decision 2005/343/EC), 2t (Commission Decision 2005/344/EC), 2u (Commission Decision 2005/360/EC) and 2x (Commission Decision 2002/741/EC):

‘—	32009 D 0888: Commission Decision 2009/888/EC of 30 November 2009 (OJ L 318, 4.12.2009, p. 43).’;

the following point shall be inserted after point 2zb (Commission Decision 2010/18/EC):

‘2zc.

32007 D 0742: Commission Decision 2007/742/EC of 9 November 2007 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to electrically driven, gas driven or gas absorption heat pumps (OJ L 301, 20.11.2007, p. 14), as amended by:

—	32009 D 0888: Commission Decision 2009/888/EC of 30 November 2009 (OJ L 318, 4.12.2009, p. 43).’.

Article 2

The texts of Decisions 2007/742/EC and 2009/888/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 3 December 2011, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
