Article 18 The following shall be substituted for the second paragraph of Article 32 of the ECSC Treaty, the second paragraph of Article 165 of the EC Treaty, the second paragraph of Article 137 of the Euratom Treaty and the first paragraph of Article 18 of the Protocol on the Statute of the Court of Justice of the ECSC: 'The Court of Justice shall sit in plenary session. It may, however, form chambers, each consisting of three, five or seven Judges, either to undertake certain preparatory inquiries or to adjudicate on particular categories of cases in accordance with rules laid down for these purposes.`
