Notice for the attention of persons subject to the restrictive measures provided for in Council Decision 2010/788/CFSP, as implemented by Council Implementing Decision (CFSP) 2020/190 and Council Regulation (EC) No 1183/2005, as implemented by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/189 imposing certain specific restrictive measures directed against persons acting in violation of the arms embargo with regard to the Democratic Republic of Congo

The following information is brought to the attention of the person designated in Annex I to Council Decision 2010/788/CFSP (1), as implemented by Council Implementing Decision (CFSP) 2020/190 (2) and Annex I to Council Regulation (EC) No 1183/2005 (3), as implemented by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/189 (4), imposing certain specific restrictive measures directed against persons acting in violation of the arms embargo with regard to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

On 6 February 2020, the United Nations Security Council Committee, established pursuant to United Nations Security Council Resolution 1533 (2004), added one person to the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures.

The person concerned may submit at any time a request to the UN Committee established pursuant to paragraph 9 of UNSCR 2374 (2017), together with any supporting documentation, for the decision to include that person onto the UN list to be reconsidered. Such request should be sent to the following address:

The person concerned may submit a request to the Council, together with supporting documentation that the decision to include him on the above-mentioned list should be reconsidered to the following address:

The attention of the person concerned is also drawn to the possibility of challenging the Council’s decision before the General Court of the European Union, in accordance with the conditions laid down in Article 275, 2nd paragraph, and Article 263, 4th and 6th paragraphs, of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
