WHAT DOES THIS COMMUNICATION DO?
KEY POINTS
The Action Plan is a key pillar of the Investment Plan for Europe which aims to stimulate investment and growth in the EU towards economic recovery, following the recent financial crisis.

KEY TERMS
* Securitisation: a transaction that enables a lender – often a bank – to refinance a set of loans/assets (e.g. mortgages, car leases, consumer loans, credit cards) by converting them into securities that others can invest in.
* Venture capital: money provided by investors to start-up firms and small businesses which are perceived to have long-term growth potential.
* Prospectus: a legally required document that provides details about an investment offering for sale to the public.
