DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 87/2024
of 26 April 2024
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1909]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/981 of 17 May 2023 amending Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 as regards the classification of the substance praziquantel with respect to its maximum residue limit in foodstuffs of animal origin (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/997 of 23 May 2023 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/17 establishing a list of variations not requiring assessment in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/6 of the European Parliament and of the Council (2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter XIII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 13 (Commission Regulation (EU) No 37/2010):

The following is added in point 22b (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/17): ‘, as amended by:

Article 2
The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2023/981 and (EU) 2023/997 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 27 April 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
