COVID-19 outbreak

(Regulation (EU) 2021/267 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2021 laying down specific and temporary measures in view of the persistence of the COVID-19 crisis concerning the renewal or extension of certain certificates, licences and authorisations, the postponement of certain periodic checks and periodic training in certain areas of transport legislation and the extension of certain periods referred to in Regulation (EU) 2020/698 (1))

Date of the Information to the Commission: 1.3.2021

Finland has decided, in conformity with the relevant provisions of Regulation (EU) 2021/267 of the European Parliament and of the Council that it shall not apply the following provisions:

Article 3(1) concerning the validity of driving licences under Directive 2006/126/EC (2);

Article 3(2) concerning the validity of driving licences under Directive 2006/126/EC which had already been extended by application of Article 3 of Regulation (EU) 2020/698 (3);

Article 4(1) concerning the regular inspections of tachographs in road transport under Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 (4);

Article 4(2) concerning the renewal of driver cards under Regulation (EU) No 165/2014;

Article 4(3) concerning the replacement of driver cards under Regulation (EU) No 165/2014;

Article 5(1) concerning the time limits for the periodic roadworthiness tests for motor vehicles and their trailers under Directive 2014/45/EU (5);

Article 5(2) concerning the validity of roadworthiness certificates under Directive 2014/45/EU;

Article 7(1) concerning the validity of the Community licence for road haulage under Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009 (6);

Article 7(2) concerning the validity of the driver attestation under Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009;

Article 8(1) concerning the validity of the Community licence for passenger transport under Regulation (EC) No 1073/2009 (7).
