Communication from the Commission pursuant to Article 4 of Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 January 2001 on summer-time arrangements

In accordance with Article 4 of Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 January 2001 on summer-time arrangements (1), the Commission is required to publish a communication every five years giving the schedule for the dates on which summer time will begin and end. An initial communication was issued when the Directive for 2002 to 2006 inclusive was published (2).

For 2007 to 2011 inclusive, the summer-time period will begin and end respectively on the following dates at 01.00 Universal Time:

in 2007: Sunday 25 March and Sunday 28 October

in 2008: Sunday 30 March and Sunday 26 October

in 2009: Sunday 29 March and Sunday 25 October

in 2010: Sunday 28 March and Sunday 31 October

in 2011: Sunday 27 March and Sunday 30 October.
