DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

No 26/2015

of 25 February 2015

amending Annex VI (Social security) to the EEA Agreement [2016/514]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Decision No E4 of 13 March 2014 concerning the transitional period as defined in Article 95 of Regulation (EC) No 987/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Decision No E4 replaces Decision No E3 (2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be replaced under the EEA Agreement.

(3)

Annex VI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The text of point 4.3 (Decision No E3) of Annex VI to the EEA Agreement is replaced by the following:

32014 D 0520(03): Decision No E4 of 13 March 2014 concerning the transitional period as defined in Article 95 of Regulation (EC) No 987/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ C 152, 20.5.2014, p. 21).’

Article 2

The texts of Decision No E4 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 26 February 2015, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
