Call for proposals 2010 for financial contributions to the operation of European consumer organisations representing consumer interests in the development of standards for products and services at European Union level

(Action 6 of Decision No 1926/2006/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a programme of Community action in the field of consumer policy (2007-2013))

1.

In conformity with Article 7 of the Decision No 1926/2006/EC, on 21 December 2009 the European Commission adopted the annual work programme in the area of consumer policy for 2010. The Work Programme contains further information about the objectives, priorities, indicative budget and types of actions and the eligibility rules for applying for a grant from the European Union under the Consumer Programme. This document is available on the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC) website: http://ec.europa.eu/eahc/consumers

2.

In particular the present call for proposals aims at providing financial contributions — in the form of operating grants — to the operation of European consumer organisations representing consumer interests in the development of standards for products and services at European Union level through the conclusion of framework partnership agreements for a duration of four years — covering the operating years 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 — thus establishing a long-term cooperation (partnerships) between the Agency and the selected partners.
