DECISION No 3/2025 OF THE EU-COMMON TRANSIT COUNTRIES JOINT COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED BY THE CONVENTION ON A COMMON TRANSIT PROCEDURE

of 19 September 2025

as regards an invitation to the Republic of Moldova to accede to that Convention [2025/2633]

THE EU-CTC JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Convention on a common transit procedure (1), and in particular Article 15(3), point (e), thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

The Republic of Moldova has expressed its wish to accede to the Convention on a common transit procedure (the ‘Convention’).

(2)

The movement of goods with the Republic of Moldova would be facilitated by a common transit procedure for goods transported between that country and the European Union, Georgia, Iceland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

(3)

With a view to achieving such facilitation, it is appropriate to invite the Republic of Moldova to accede to the Convention,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The Republic of Moldova shall be invited to accede to the Convention on a common transit procedure in accordance with Article 15a of the Convention as from 1 November 2025.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
