    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

    No 200/2014

    of 25 September 2014

    amending Annex XXI (Statistics) to the EEA Agreement [2015/1268]

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Regulation (EU) No 549/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2013 on the European system of national and regional accounts in the European Union (1) was incorporated into the EEA Agreement by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 58/2014 of 8 April 2014 (2).

    (2)

    The deadline for presenting a duly justified request for derogations to the competent surveillance authority no later than 17 October 2013 set out in Article 6(3) of Regulation (EU) No 549/2013 should therefore be adapted, in order to allow the EFTA States to request derogations pursuant to Article 6(1) and (2).

    (3)

    Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

    HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

    Article 1

    Point 19z (Regulation (EU) No 549/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

    (1)

    adaptations (b) and (c) are renumbered as adaptations (c) and (d);

    (2)

    the following adaptation is inserted:

    ‘(b)

    		 In Article 6(3), the words “17 October 2013” are replaced by the words “3 months after the entry into force of EEA Joint Committee Decision No 200/2014 of 25 September 2014” as regards the EFTA States.’

    Article 2

    This Decision shall enter into force on 26 September 2014, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).

    Article 3

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
