    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

    No 58/2011

    of 20 May 2011

    amending Annex XXI (Statistics) to the EEA Agreement

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Annex XXI to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 46/2011 of 1 April 2011 (1).

    (2)

    Commission Regulation (EU) No 1157/2010 of 9 December 2010 implementing Regulation (EC) No 1177/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning Community statistics on income and living conditions (EU-SILC), as regards the 2012 list of target secondary variables on housing conditions (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (3)

    Commission Regulation (EU) No 1227/2010 of 20 December 2010 amending Regulation (EC) No 1055/2008 implementing Regulation (EC) No 184/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as regards quality criteria and quality reporting for balance of payments statistics (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

    HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

    Article 1

    Annex XXI to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

    (1)

    the following point shall be inserted after point 18ia (Commission Regulation (EU) No 481/2010):

    ‘18ib.

    32010 R 1157: Commission Regulation (EU) No 1157/2010 of 9 December 2010 implementing Regulation (EC) No 1177/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning Community statistics on income and living conditions (EU-SILC), as regards the 2012 list of target secondary variables on housing conditions (OJ L 326, 10.12.2010, p. 3).’;

    (2)

    the following shall be added in point 19sb (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1055/2008):

    ‘, as amended by:

    —

    32010 R 1227: Commission Regulation (EU) No 1227/2010 of 20 December 2010 (OJ L 336, 21.12.2010, p. 15).’.

    Article 2

    The texts of Regulations (EU) No 1157/2010 and (EU) No 1227/2010 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on 21 May 2011, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).

    Article 4

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
