Deletion of certain Rules on the protection of Geographical Indications in the wine sector

- Initiative summary:
- The Commission should amend the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33 in order to delete certain parts of the old secondary legislation of general application on wine geographical indications as they will be replaced by new uniform secondary legislation valid for all geographical indications sectors (wine, spirits and agricultural products) in the new Commission Delegated Regulation supplementing the new GI Regulation. It is needed for a proper functioning of the system.
