- Initiative summary:
- The Regulation lays down the rules on ELAN (Electronic Agricultural non customs formalities system), the IT system developed by DG AGRI to be interconnected with the Single Window Environment to exchange documents accompanying agricultural products between the EU customs and the issuing authorities of EU Member States and third countries. In particular the Regulation lays down rules on the nature and type of information to be notified, the categories of data to be processed, the retention period, the access rights to the system.
