- Initiative summary:
- This reform is focused on areas which are urgent for the market to become more resilient and to reduce the impact of gas prices on electricity bills while supporting the energy transition. The aim of this swift reform is to provide added value for European citizens and companies already during the ongoing crisis and during the 2023/2024 heating season by targeted amendments to Electricity Regulation (EU) 2019/943, Electricity Directive (EU) 2019/944 and Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 (REMIT).
