- The Commission will present an initiative to extend the list of ‘EU crimes’ to hate speech and hate crime. It will aim to bring forward a Council decision identifying hate speech and hate crime as other areas of crime, given that they are particularly serious crimes with a cross-border dimension and that there are developments in crime justifying their inclusion in this list.
