A4-0349/98 Decision on the common position adopted by the Council with a view to adopting a Council Regulation on the recognition in intra-Community traffic of the distinguishing sign of the Member State in which motor vehicles and their trailers are registered (C4-0339/98 - 97/0199(SYN))(Cooperation procedure: second reading) The European Parliament, - having regard to the common position of the Council, C4-0339/98 - 97/0199(SYN) ((OJ C 227, 20.7.1998, p. 31.)), - having regard to its opinion at first reading ((OJ C 80, 16.3.1998, p. 210.)) on the Commission proposal to the Council, COM(97)0366 ((OJ C 290, 24.9.1997, p. 25.)), - having regard to the amended Commission proposal, COM(98)0227 ((OJ C 159, 26.5.1998, p. 16.)), - having been consulted by the Council pursuant to Article 189c of the EC Treaty, - having regard to Rule 67 of its Rules of Procedure, - having regard to the recommendation for second reading of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (A4-0349/98), 1. Approves the common position; 2. Instructs its President to forward this decision to the Council and Commission.
