Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1768/2003 der Kommission

vom 8. Oktober 2003

zur Änderung der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 des Rates zur Umsetzung des Zertifikationssystems des Kimberley-Prozesses für den internationalen Handel mit Rohdiamanten

DIE KOMMISSION DER EUROPÄISCHEN GEMEINSCHAFTEN -

gestützt auf den Vertrag zur Gründung der Europäischen Gemeinschaft,

gestützt auf die Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 des Rates vom 20. Dezember 2002 zur Umsetzung des Zertifikationssystems des Kimberley-Prozesses für den internationalen Handel mit Rohdiamanten(1), zuletzt geändert durch die Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1536/2003 der Kommission(2), insbesondere auf Artikel 20,

in Erwägung nachstehender Gründe:

(1) Mit Artikel 20 der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 wird die Liste der Teilnehmer am Zertifikationssystem des Kimberley-Prozesses unter Einschluss der WTO-Mitglieder und getrennten Zollgebiete, welche die Anforderungen des Systems erfuellen, geändert.

(2) Der Vorsitz des Kimberley-Prozesses hat in seinem Vermerk vom 11. September 2003 eine aktualisierte Liste der Teilnehmer an dem System vorgelegt. Die Aktualisierung der Liste betrifft die Hinzufügung von Vietnam als Teilnehmer. Daher soll Anhang II entsprechend geändert werden -

HAT FOLGENDE VERORDNUNG ERLASSEN:

Artikel 1

Anhang II der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 wird hiermit durch den Anhang der vorliegenden Verordnung ersetzt.

Artikel 2

Diese Verordnung tritt am Tag ihrer Veröffentlichung im Amtsblatt der Europäischen Union in Kraft.

Sie gilt mit Wirkung vom 12. September 2003.

Diese Verordnung ist in allen ihren Teilen verbindlich und gilt unmittelbar in jedem Mitgliedstaat.
