Rådets afgørelse 2004/188/FUSP

af 23. februar 2004

om udnævnelse af missionschefen/politichefen for Den Europæiske Unions politimission (EUPM)

RÅDET FOR DEN EUROPÆISKE UNION HAR -

under henvisning til traktaten om Den Europæiske Union, særlig artikel 23, stk. 2,

under henvisning til Rådets fælles aktion 2002/210/FUSP af 11. marts 2002 om Den Europæiske Unions politimission(1), særlig artikel 4, og

ud fra følgende betragtninger:

(1) Efter artikel 4 i fælles aktion 2002/210/FUSP skal missionschefen/politichefen for Den Europæiske Unions politimission udnævnes af Rådet på forslag af generalsekretæren/den højtstående repræsentant.

(2) Generalsekretæren/den højtstående repræsentant har indstillet Assistant Commissioner Bartholomew Kevin Carty til udnævnelse -

TRUFFET FØLGENDE AFGØRELSE:

Artikel 1

Bartholomew Kevin Carty udnævnes hermed til missionschef/politichef for Den Europæiske Unions politimission fra den 1. marts 2004.

Artikel 2

Denne afgørelse træder i kraft på dagen for vedtagelsen.

Den anvendes indtil den 1. marts 2005.

Artikel 3

Denne afgørelse offentliggøres i Den Europæiske Unions Tidende.

Udfærdiget i Bruxelles, den 23. februar 2004.
