Compensation to Post Danmark A/S for Universal Service Obligations in 2021, 2022 and 2023

Právní základ

(a) The three individual licences issued to Post Danmark which together entrust the provision of the USO to Post Danmark for the period 2021-2023 in accordance with the Danish Postal Act and subject to the requirements set out in the individual licence of 30 May 2016. (b) A Decree (“aktstykke”) dated 7 December 2020 was issued whereby the Minister for Transport requests the Financial Committee of the Danish Parliament to consent to pay the notified amount as compensation to Post Danmark for the postal USO imposed on Post Danmark for the period 1 January 2021 to 31 August 2021; (c) An aktstykke dated 8 June 2021 whereby the Minister for Transport requests the Financial Committee of the Danish Parliament to consent to payment of the notified amount as compensation to Post Danmark for the postal USO imposed on Post Danmark for the period 1 September 2021 to 31 December 2022. (d) An aktstykke dated 19 December 2022 whereby the Minister for Transport requests the Financial Committee of the Danish Parliament to consent to payment of the notified amount as compensation to Post Danmark for the postal USO imposed on Post Danmark for the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. (e) A first temporary USO compensation agreement dated 17 December 2020 between Denmark and Post Danmark covering the period 1 January 2021 – 31 August 2021. (f) A second temporary USO compensation agreement entered into force on 27 August 2021 between Denmark and Post Danmark covering the period 1 September 2021 – 31 December 2022. (g) A third temporary USO compensation agreement dated December 2022 between Denmark and Post Danmark covering the period 1 January 2023 – 31 December 2023.
