Initiative summary:
The aim of this Commission Delegated Regulation is to pursue the adoption of European standards in support of Regulation (EU) 2023/1804 on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure. The lack of common standards for recharging and refuelling points constitutes a barrier for the creation of a single market of alternative fuels infrastructure. Standardisation is an essential mechanism to create economies of scale and support the uptake of new technological solutions in this sector.
