Since the Committee unreservedly endorses the contents of the proposal and has already set out its views on the subject in its earlier opinions CES 1411/2000 and CESE 1705/2007 adopted on 29 November 2000 (1) and 12 December 2007 (2), it decided, at its 456th plenary session, held on 30 September-1 October 2009 (meeting of 30 September 2009), by 180 votes in favour and 9 abstentions to issue an opinion endorsing the proposal and to refer to the position it had taken in the above-mentioned document.
