    COUNCIL DECISION

    of 24 September 2024

    replacing an alternate member of the Management Board of the European Institute for Gender Equality for Ireland

    THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

    Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

    Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1922/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on establishing a European Institute for Gender Equality (1), and in particular Article 10 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    By Decision (EU) 2022/832 (2), the Council appointed members and alternate members of the Management Board of the European Institute for Gender Equality for the period from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2025.

    (2)

    A seat as alternate member of the Management Board of the European Institute for Gender Equality has fallen vacant as a result of the resignation of Ms Deirdre NÍ NÉILL.

    (3)

    The Government of Ireland has nominated a candidate for the vacant seat,

    HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

    Article 1

    Ms Lisa HUGHES is appointed alternate member of the Management Board of the European Institute for Gender Equality in place of Ms Deirdre NÍ NÉILL for the remainder of the current term of office, ending on 31 May 2025.

    Article 2

    This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
