correcting certain language versions of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066 on the monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions pursuant to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 October 2003 establishing a system for greenhouse gas emission allowance trading within the Union and amending Council Directive 96/61/EC (1), and in particular Article 14(1) and Article 30f(5) thereof,

The French language version of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066 (2) contains an error in section 1, point 8, of Annex IIIa, as regards the definition of the latest flight plan. The error was introduced by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2493 (3) and affects the substance of that provision. |

The Swedish language version of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066 contains an error in the table, entry for ‘Flue gas for the purpose of Article 43(4)’, second column, in Annex VII, as regards the minimum frequency of analyses, as well as an error in section 1, point 8(a), of Annex X, as regards the measurement units to be used in reporting. Those errors were also introduced by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2493. They change the substance of those provisions, potentially affecting rights and obligations of economic operators. |

The French and Swedish language versions of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066 should therefore be corrected accordingly. The other language versions are not affected. |

The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Climate Change Committee, delivered prior to the adoption of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2493, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
