correcting certain language versions of Regulation (EU) 2023/1783 as regards the transitional provision on the applicability of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council to certain active substances

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 February 2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin and amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC (1), and in particular Article 14(1), point (a), Article 18(1), point (b), and Article 49(2) thereof,
Whereas:

The Czech, German, Italian and Spanish language versions of Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1783 (2) contain an error in Article 2 as regards the list of active substances in and on certain products, to which the transitional provision in that article applies. |

Recital 10 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1783 sets out the reasons for the transitional provision in Article 2 of that Regulation. The German and Spanish language versions of that recital contain the same error as in Article 2 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1783. |
(3) |
The Czech, German, Italian and Spanish language versions of Regulation (EU) 2023/1783 should therefore be corrected accordingly. The other language versions are not affected. |

The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed, delivered prior to the adoption of Regulation (EU) 2023/1783, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article 1
(Does not concern the English language.)
Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
