COMMISSION REGULATION (EC) No 289/2007
of 16 March 2007
adapting Regulation (EC) No 1301/2006 laying down common rules for the administration of import tariff quotas for agricultural products managed by a system of import licences, by reason of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,
Having regard to the Treaty of Accession of Bulgaria and Romania,
Having regard to the Act of Accession of Bulgaria and Romania, and in particular Article 56 thereof,
Whereas:

Annexes II and III to Commission Regulation (EC) No 1301/2006 (1) provide for entries in all the languages of the Community as constituted at 31 December 2006. Those provisions should include the entries in Bulgarian and Romanian. |

(2) |
Regulation (EC) No 1301/2006 should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article 1
Regulation (EC) No 1301/2006 is amended as follows:

1. |
Annex II is replaced by the text in Annex I to this Regulation. |
|
2. |
Annex III is replaced by the text in Annex II to this Regulation. |
Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply from 1 January 2007. However, it shall not affect the validity of licence applications and licences issued between 1 January 2007 and the day of the entry into force of this Regulation.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
