concerning certain emergency measures relating to infection with peste des petits ruminants virus in Romania and repealing Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/525

Article 1
Romania shall immediately establish, in accordance with Article 21 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687, a restricted zone, which comprises both protection and surveillance zones, as well as a further restricted zone, and which covers at least the areas listed in Annex I.
In addition, Romania shall ensure that
the measures required to be applied in the protection, surveillance and further restricted zones listed in Annex I, are applied at least until the dates listed in that Annex; that
movements of caprine and ovine animals from the protection, surveillance and further restricted zones listed in Annex I to a destination located outside the external perimeter of the further restricted zone, as set out in Part B of Annex I, are prohibited until the dates listed for each zone in that Annex; and that
movements of caprine and ovine animals from the entire territory of Romania to a destination located in or passing through another Member State are prohibited until 30 September 2025.
Article 2
Romania shall apply the measures which are applicable to further restricted zones, as provided for in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687, in the areas listed in Annex II to this Decision, and in accordance with the dates set out in that Annex.
Article 3
Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/525 is hereby repealed.
Article 4
This Decision is addressed to Romania.
