of 8 June 2026
amending Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 on an assistance measure taking the form of a general programme for support to the African Union under the European Peace Facility for the period 2022-2024
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 28(1) and Article 41(2) thereof,
Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,
Whereas:

On 21 April 2022, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 (1), which established an assistance measure taking the form of a general programme for support to the African Union under the European Peace Facility for the period 2022-2024 (the ‘Assistance Measure’). |

(2) |
On 14 April 2026, the Political and Security Committee entrusted the Economat des Armées with the implementation of part of an action in support of the military component of the African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia, which is to be financed under the Assistance Measure. |
|
(3) |
The list of entities that may fully or partially implement actions under the Assistance Measure should include the Economat des Armées. |

(4) |
Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The Annex to Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 is replaced by the following:

List of Member State ministries, government departments, and other public law bodies and agencies, and bodies governed by private law with a public service mission that have been provided with adequate financial guarantees, that may fully or partially implement actions under the Assistance Measure (*1):

Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
