DECISION No 3/2024 OF THE EU-CTC JOINT COMMITTEE
of 5 November 2024
as regards the amendment of Appendices III and IIIa to the Convention on a common transit procedure concerning the accession of Georgia [2025/174]
THE EU-CTC JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Convention on a common transit procedure, and in particular Article 15(3)(a) thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Georgia expressed its wish to accede to the Convention on a common transit procedure (the ‘Convention’), and has been invited to do so by the EU-CTC Joint Committee following Decision No 2/2024 of 21 October 2024. |

(2) |
Accordingly, the Georgian language versions of the references used in the Convention should be inserted in the Convention in the appropriate order. |
|
(3) |
The date of application of this Decision should depend on the date of accession of Georgia to the Convention. |
|
(4) |
In order to allow the use of guarantee forms printed in accordance with the criteria in force prior to the date of accession of Georgia, a transitional period should be established during which the printed forms, with some adaptations, could continue to be used. |

(5) |
The Convention should be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Appendices III and IIIa to the Convention on a common transit procedure (the ‘Convention’) are amended as set out in the Annex to this Decision.
Article 2
1. This Decision shall apply as of the date on which Georgia becomes a contracting party to the Convention.
2. The forms based on the specimen forms in Annexes C1, C2, C4, C5 and C6 to Appendix III as in force on 30 November 2024 may continue to be used, subject to the necessary geographical adaptations and the necessary adaptations concerning the address for service or the authorised agent, until 30 June 2026.
