of 31 July 2024
confirming the participation of Ireland in Regulation (EU) 2024/1350 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a Union Resettlement and Humanitarian Admission Framework
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to Protocol No 21 on the position of the United Kingdom and Ireland in respect of the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice, annexed to the Treaty on European Union and to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 4 thereof,
Having regard to the notification by Ireland of its wish to accept and be bound by Regulation (EU) 2024/1350 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 May 2024 establishing a Union Resettlement and Humanitarian Admission Framework, and amending Regulation (EU) 2021/1147 (1),
Whereas:

Regulation (EU) 2024/1350 was adopted on 14 May 2024. Its provisions are to apply from 11 June 2024, with the exception of Article 9(24) of that Regulation, which is to apply from 12 June 2026. |

By letter of 27 June 2024, Ireland notified its wish to accept and be bound by Regulation (EU) 2024/1350. |

(3) |
The participation of Ireland in Regulation (EU) 2024/1350 should therefore be confirmed. |

(4) |
There are no specific conditions attached to the participation of Ireland in Regulation (EU) 2024/1350 and no transitional measures are necessary, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The participation of Ireland in Regulation (EU) 2024/1350 is confirmed.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
