DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 220/2018
of 26 October 2018
amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2021/503]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/840 of 5 June 2018 establishing a watch list of substances for Union-wide monitoring in the field of water policy pursuant to Directive 2008/105/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/495 (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/840 repeals Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/495 (2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. |

(3) |
Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The text of point 13caf (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/495) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement is replaced by the following:

‘ 32018 D 0840: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/840 of 5 June 2018 establishing a watch list of substances for Union-wide monitoring in the field of water policy pursuant to Directive 2008/105/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/495 (OJ L 141, 7.6.2018, p. 9).’ |
Article 2
The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/840 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 27 October 2018, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
