DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 241/2016
of 2 December 2016
amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing, and certification) and Annex X (Services in general) to the EEA Agreement [2018/1179]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

(1) |
Commission Recommendation 2013/461/EU of 17 September 2013 on the principles governing SOLVIT (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |
|
(2) |
Recommendation 2013/461/EU replaces Commission Recommendation 2001/893/EC (2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be replaced under the EEA Agreement. |

(3) |
Annex II and Annex X to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Under the heading ‘ACTS OF WHICH THE CONTRACTING PARTIES SHALL TAKE NOTE’ in Chapter XX of Annex II to the EEA Agreement, the text of point 5 (Commission Recommendation 2001/893/EC) is deleted.
Article 2
The following is inserted after point 3a (Commission Implementing Decision 2014/89/EU) of Annex X to the EEA Agreement:
‘ ACTS OF WHICH THE CONTRACTING PARTIES SHALL TAKE NOTE

Article 3
The text of Recommendation 2013/461/EU in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 4
This Decision shall enter into force on 3 December 2016, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*1).
Article 5
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
