Does Article 8(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 (1), read in conjunction with its Annex, allow a permitted nutrition claim – particularly a claim relating to a nutrient referred to in the first sentence, point (b), of Article 30(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 (2) on the provision of food information to consumers – to be complemented by a message that, although not listed in the Annex to Article 8(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, is nevertheless objectively correct if, from the perspective of the consumer, it constitutes a specific clarification of the nutrition claim? Does the content of a message not listed in the Annex to Article 8(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 that provides specific clarification of a permitted nutrition claim have to meet the conditions set down in the Annex for the use of nutrition claims? |
