Notification of the Austrian Government pursuant to Article 52(2) of Directive EU 2019/944 of the European Parliament and of the Council ('Electricity Directive') concerning common rules for the internal market in electricity regarding the designation of Tiroler Übertragungsnetz GmbH as transmission system operator in Austria

Following the Austrian regulatory authority's final decision of 18 July 2024 regarding the certification of Tiroler Übertragungsnetz GmbH as Ownership Unbundled Transmission System Operator (Article 43 of the Electricity Directive), Austria has notified to the Commission the official approval and designation of this company as a Transmission System Operator operating in Austria in accordance with Article 52 of the Electricity Directive of the European Parliament and the Council.
The designation was published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Austria (Bundesgesetzblatt für die Republik Österreich) and can be found under the following link:
