Communication from the Commission on the exemptions used by Spain under Article 2(4) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport

The publication of the exemptions referred to in Article 2 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 September 2023 on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport (FuelEU Maritime Regulation) (1) is based on information communicated by the Member States to the Commission in accordance with the procedure laid down in that Article.
Spain notified the Commission of its decision to use the exemptions under Article 2(4) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 to the ports listed in the below table. This table updates and replaces the table included in Communication C/2025/356 (2) that lists the exemptions notified earlier by Spain under Article 2(4).
