In paragraphs 197 and 198 of the Guidelines on State aid to promote risk finance investments (1), the Commission proposed to Member States, on the basis of Article 108(1) TFEU, to take appropriate measures and amend, where necessary, their existing risk finance aid schemes in order to bring them into line with the provisions of these Guidelines within 6 months after the date of the publication of the Guidelines in the Official Journal of the European Union. Member States were requested to confirm their acceptance of the proposed appropriate measures within 2 months from the date of publication of the Guidelines in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Pursuant to Council Regulation (EU) 2015/1589 (2), the Commission recorded the unconditional and explicit agreement to the appropriate measures by all Member States that had existing aid schemes in place at the time of the publication of the Guidelines on State aid to promote risk finance investments.
