COUNCIL DECISION
of 22 April 2024
appointing a member of the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Decision No 235/2008/EC of 11 March 2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board (1), and in particular Article 3(5) thereof,
Having regard to the opinion of the European Commission,
Whereas:

By its Decision of 24 May 2022 (2), the Council appointed Ms Martine DURAND as member of the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board (the ‘Board’) for a term of office of three years. |

(2) |
Ms Martine DURAND resigned before the expiry of her term of office. |
|
(3) |
It is therefore necessary to appoint a new member of the Board. |

(4) |
Article 3(2) of Decision No 235/2008/EC states that the members of the Board are to be selected from among experts possessing outstanding competence in the field of statistics, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Ms Sandrine DUCHÊNE is hereby appointed member of the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board for a term of office of three years.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the third day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
