Implementation of ELI in Portugal (January 2017)

Portugal has implemented the 1st pillar of ELI since 19 December 2016 for all types of acts published in the official journal since 2 January 1991, date from which all the acts are numbered.

The coordinator of the ELI project for Portugal is Mr Helder de Sousa Santos, legal expert at the Office for Official Publications, National Printing Office and Mint / Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda (INCM ).

Two workshops were organized by the ELI Taskforce to provide assistance to the technical teams in charge of the European Legislation Identifier integration in the Portuguese official website.

The adoption of ELI was officially announced in a lecture which was open to the public and members of the Cabinets of the Government by the Secretary of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

The introduction of ELI on the official page of the official journal was enthusiastically received by the users of the official journal.
