EU Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
The European Commission has set up the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to manage a series of programmes which benefit small businesses.
ACT
Commission Implementing Decision 2013/771/EU of 17 December 2013 establishing the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and repealing Decisions 2004/20/EC and 2007/372/EC.
SUMMARY
While departments of the European Commission formulate policies in the fields for which they are responsible, the management of the programmes that it funds in these areas is devolved to agencies such as the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME).
EASME’s main tasks are to:
EASME manages the following programmes:
Brussels-based EASME also organises the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW).
EASME replaces the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation. This decision covers the period up to 31 December 2024.
