Energie regenerabilă

Sursele regenerabile de energie – energia eoliană, solară, hidraulică, a mareelor, geotermală şi energia extrasă din biomasă – reprezintă o alternativă importantă la combustibilii fosili.

Utilizarea acestora contribuie nu numai la reducerea emisiilor de gaz cu efect de seră provenite din producţia şi consumul de energie, dar şi la reducerea dependenţei Uniunii Europene de importuri, în special de importurile de combustibili fosili, gaz şi petrol.
