The Ministry of Economic Development has received an application for a hydrocarbon prospecting licence from Enel Longanesi Developments s.r.l., trading as ‘Sciascitiello’, in respect of an area in Apulia, specifically in the province of Foggia, as described below:

The abovementioned coordinates are based on the maps produced by the Military Geographical Institute (Istituto Geografico Militare — I.G.M.) — map of Italy on scale 1:100 000, pp. 174-175.

On the basis of this description of the boundaries, the surface area is 88,58 km2.

In accordance with the abovementioned Directive, Article 4 of Legislative Decree No 625 of 25 November 1996, the Ministerial Decree of 4 March 2011 and Director's Order of 22 March 2011, the Ministry of Economic Development must publish a notice to enable other interested persons to submit applications for hydrocarbon prospecting licences for the same area described above.

The competent authority to grant the relevant licence is Division VI of the Directorate-General for Mineral and Energy Resources of the Department of Energy at the Ministry of Economic Development.

The rules for granting the mineralogical licence are laid down in the following provisions:

Law No 613 of 21 July 1967; Law No 9 of 9 January 1991; Legislative Decree No 625 of 25 November 1996; Ministerial Decree of 4 March 2011 and Director's Order of 22 March 2011.

The time limit for submitting applications is three months after publication of this notice in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Applications received after the expiry of this period will not be considered.

Notice of the impending expiry of certain anti-dumping measures

2013/C 94/08

1.   As provided for in Article 11(2) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1225/2009 of 30 November 2009 on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Community (1), the Commission gives notice that, unless a review is initiated in accordance with the following procedure, the anti-dumping measures mentioned below will expire on the date mentioned in the table below.

2.   Procedure

Union producers may lodge a written request for a review. This request must contain sufficient evidence that the expiry of the measures would be likely to result in a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury.

Should the Commission decide to review the measures concerned, importers, exporters, representatives of the exporting country and Union producers will then be provided with the opportunity to amplify, rebut or comment on the matters set out in the review request.

3.   Time limit

Union producers may submit a written request for a review on the above basis, to reach the European Commission, Directorate-General for Trade (Unit H-1), N-105 8/20, 1049 Brussels, Belgium (2) at any time from the date of the publication of the present notice but no later than three months before the date mentioned in the table below.

4.   This notice is published in accordance with Article 11(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1225/2009.

Prior notification of a concentration

(Case COMP/M.6818 — Deutsche Bahn/Veolia Transport Central Europe)

1.

On 21 March 2013, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which the undertaking Deutsche Bahn AG (‘DB’, Germany), via its subsidiary DB Mobility Logistics AG, acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation the sole control of the undertaking Veolia Transport Central Europe (‘Veolia’, Germany) through purchase of shares.

2.

The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

for DB: DB, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, is a multinational mobility and logistics group. DB is engaged in passenger transport by rail and bus, freight forwarding and logistics (including freight transport) and ancillary services,

for Veolia: Veolia, located in Berlin, Germany, is part of the Veolia Transport Transdev Group (‘VTD’). VTD holds a 65 % share in Veolia with the remaining 35 % share being held by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (‘EBRD’). Veolia operates bus passenger transport networks and roads in six Central Eastern European countries: the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia within the EEA and in Croatia and Serbia outside of the EEA. In addition, Veolia operates a very limited regional rail service in the Czech Republic.

3.

On preliminary examination, the Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope the EC Merger Regulation. However, the final decision on this point is reserved.

4.

The Commission invites interested third parties to submit their possible observations on the proposed operation to the Commission.
