Annual expenditure planned under the scheme or overall amount of individual aid granted to the company: The budget is established on the basis of the Regional Law approving the budget estimates for the financial year and subsequent amendments to these estimates. For 2007 the total amount budgeted for is EUR 162 005.

Maximum aid intensity: Up to 100 % of eligible expenditure, on the basis of the current cost of training (EUR 125/hour). Applicants (accredited training organisations as provided for in Regional Law No 19 of 9 August 2002) may submit a maximum of 1 project covering all the (basic and/or refresher) training courses, the maximum total number of hours being 390. The total eligible cost per training course is EUR 1 875 for basic training (minimum duration of 15 hours per course) and EUR 750 for refresher training (minimum duration of 6 hours per course).

Objective of aid: General education and training of farmers and farm workers.

Eligible costs: expenditure on organising and running training courses.

Sector(s) concerned: The scheme covers vocational training (in the correct use of plant-health products) for farmers engaged in the production of agricultural products listed in Annex I to the Treaty.

up to 100 % of eligible costs for investment for the purposes of conserving non-productive heritage located on farms (sites of archaeological and historical interest),

up to 100 % of additional aid to cover the extra costs incurred by using traditional materials necessary to maintain the heritage features of the building;

3.

Aid towards the payment of insurance premiums:

combined with co-financing funds from the State, aid may not exceed 50 % of the cost of insurance premiums;

4.

Aid for land reparcelling:

up to 100 % of eligible costs incurred in administrative procedures, including inspection costs;

5.

Aid to encourage the production of quality agricultural products:

the aid may be granted to cover up to 100 % of costs in the form of subsidised services and must not involve direct payments to producers;

6.

Provision of technical support:

the aid may be granted to cover up to 100 % of costs in the form of subsidised services and must not involve direct payments to producers.

Maximum aid intensity: The rate of support for the organisational costs of a farmers' association comprises up to 90 % of eligible costs in the first year, up to 70 % in the second year, up to 50 % in the third year, up to 30 % in the fourth year and up to 10 % in the fifth year.

Duration of scheme: May 2007 to December 2013

Objective of aid: To add value at local/regional level by optimising use of the cultivated landscape.

Within the framework of regional development oriented towards nature conservation, it is intended that selected areas with high-value landscape features in terms of nature conservation should be put in a position to use their potential to maintain, care for and develop the cultivated landscape and natural heritage.

In accordance with Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006:

Nature-conservation oriented support for SMEs with a view to sustainable maintenance and development of the cultivated landscape and natural heritage.

Support may be granted — on the basis of detailed invoices or other proof — for the costs of establishing or expanding a producer association, office facilities and equipment (excluding depreciation), staff and operating costs, collection and preparation of the quality products (except freight costs) including short-term storage, external advice, quality control and quality management, environmental management, initial certification.

A producer association must be contractually agreed for at least five years and must comprise at least two producers.

The recipient must ensure that special account is taken of the producers' interests.

Support is granted only in an area recognised by the Ministry of Food and Rural Areas with an integrated approach to nature conservation or an area recognised by the lower administrative authority for safeguarding minimum pasture.

Support is granted on the basis of the guidelines on market structure improvement or nature-conservation oriented support for micro-enterprises in accordance with Article 54 of Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 and must not be contrary to the objectives of Regulation (EC) No 2200/96 or its successor Regulation on the common organisation of the market in fruit and vegetables.

The recipient of support must undergo a control procedure regarding ecological production or regional origin. The control plan is to form part of the application and is eligible for support. The sustainability of the project must be apparent.

Annual expenditure planned under the scheme: EUR 30 million from the national guarantee fund for agricultural disasters.

Maximum aid intensity: 35 % of the premium or contribution, net of taxes and fees charged to the person concerned, relating to the guarantee eligible for support. The guarantee eligible for support concerns the portion of the policies with a 25 % excess in the case of crop insurance and a 20 % excess in the case of holding insurance. The aid percentages are increased by 5 % for young farmers who set up less than five years ago.

Date of implementation: From confirmation of receipt by the Commission.

Duration of scheme: One year from confirmation of receipt by the Commission.

Objective of aid: To promote the development of insurance against a number of agricultural risks. The insurance premiums supported are those referred to by Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006.

Sector(s) concerned: Holdings — excluding large enterprises — engaged in primary production of fruit, vegetables, wine, cereals, oilseed or protein plants.
