DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE
No 116/2015
of 30 April 2015
amending Annex XIII (Transport) and Annex XIX (Consumer Protection) to the EEA Agreement [2016/1299]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:

Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 concerning the rights of passengers when travelling by sea and inland waterway and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. |

(2) |
Annexes XIII and XIX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following point is inserted after point 56x (Regulation (EC) No 392/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement:

32010 R 1177: Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 concerning the rights of passengers when travelling by sea and inland waterway and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 (OJ L 334, 17.12.2010, p. 1).’ |
Article 2
The following indent is added in point 7f (Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XIX to the EEA Agreement:

Article 3
The texts of Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 4
This Decision shall enter into force on 1 May 2015, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (*).
Article 5
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
