Caidreamh eachtrach AE - An Tuirc

1959 – Chuir an Tuirc isteach iarratas ar bheith ina comhalta de Chomhphobal Eacnamaíochta na hEorpa (CEE).

1963 – Síníodh comhaontú comhlachais (“comhaontú Ankara”) chun aontas custaim idir an CEE agus an Tuirc a chur ar bun de réir a chéile, d’fhonn go bhféadfadh an tír sin teacht isteach san Aontas. Síníodh prótacal airgeadais a ghabhann leis an gcomhaontú freisin.

1970 – Síníodh an prótacal breise agus an dara prótacal airgeadais sa Bhruiséil, rud a d'oscail an bealach chun aontas custaim a chruthú.

1987 – Chuir an Tuirc isteach iarratas oifigiúil chun bheith ina comhalta den CEE.

1995 – D’fhaomh Comhairle Chomhlachais an CEE-na Tuirce an chéim dheireanach den aontas custaim leis an Tuirc.

1999 – D’aithin Comhairle Eorpach Heilsincí an Tuirc mar thír is iarrthóir ar aontachas, ar chomhchéim leis na tíortha iarrthóirí eile.

2005 – Tús le scrúdú anailíseach ar acquis an Chomhphobail (“scagthástáil”).

2008 – Ghlac an Chomhairle Comhpháirtíocht Aontachais athbhreithnithe.
