The new EUR-Lex site has been open since 1 November 2004. It is the result of merging the former EUR-Lex site with the CELEX database on European law.
Developments are ongoing and various new features are now operational:
Official Journal: there is now direct access to the pre-1998 issues of the Official Journal.
Treaties: the Treaties pages are now available in all the official languages.
Directory in pdf: it is now easier to consult the Directory of Community legislation in force: previously available only in html format, it can now also be consulted and printed in pdf format.
Next on EUR-Lex:
- Consolidated legislation: it will soon be possible to access considated texts from a simplified search screen. In the meantime, access to the consolidated legislation is through the Directory of legislation in force or via a search by CELEX number.
