Enlargement 2013: Croatia

In preparation for Croatia's accession to the European Union, secondary legislation in force on the date of accession is being translated into Croatian and will gradually be published in the Special edition of the Official Journal of the European Union

The first volumes of the Special edition of the Official Journal in Croatian are already available in EUR-Lex.

From our homepage you can access a page with links to the documents relevant to the accession of Croatia to the EU.

We will also soon enable access to all available translated texts which are awaiting publication in the Special edition.

Treaty of Accession of Croatia (2012)

The Treaty concerning the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union was signed on 9 December 2011. Croatia is to become the 28th member of the European Union, completing the sixth wave of enlargement in the Union's history.

The Treaty was published in Official Journal L 112 of 24 April 2012.

The Treaty is subject to ratification by all Member States.

To offer N-Lex users a more stable and up-to-date access to the Irish national legislative database, Ireland has developed a webservice-based connection between the N-Lex portal and the Irish Statute Book website.

Member States which have already developed a similar connection in recent years are (in order of connection implementation): Latvia, Spain, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Hungary, France, Slovenia and Germany.
